Tasik Chini and Tasik Bera

Tasik Chini and Tasik Bera are best travelled on water, so just take a tour of the lake to enjoy the magical sights with your loved ones. Tasik Chini (also known as Lake Chini) is the country’s second largest natural lake offering enchanting scenic beauty and lush greenery environment that will not disappoint you. Beautifully located on the right bank of Pahang River, the calm water of the fascinating lake will take your mind off what is bothering you.

The one gift of nature heritage of the mesmerizing lake that should be appreciated by all is a series of 12 inter-connecting water bodies. Clean and clear flowing water in the lake is home to abundant and diversity of aquatic plants and more than 140 species of fresh-water fish. For those who are interested in flora and fauna, here’s the catch – you can find numerous territorial plant and around 300 species of non-aquatic vertebrates here.

Reputed as Malaysia’s own version of ‘Loch Ness’, the mysterious lake has so much to offer because rumour has it that it is protected by some numinous monsters. The lake is easily accessible by road via Kampung Belimbing but visitors are required to take a boat through Chini River to get to the premier destination. Other activities such as:

Bera Lake

Bera Lake is yet another must visit enchanting mystical lake showing a unique side of wetland wilderness. On top of that, the enthralling Bera Lake helps to sustain livelihood of aboriginal people surrounding the wetlands. The calm water here is perfectly safe since it is protected by Ramsar Convention in November 1994 in an effort to control the flood and purification.

The lake lures fishing enthusiasts because a diversity of freshwater fish can be found after heavy rain during the months of April to May and June to August. So do not miss the opportunity and you can even meet other fishing enthusiasts. If you intend to spend a few days in Bera Lake, book early at the one and only resort to avoid disappointment. But no worries for campers because a splendid site on the north-end of the lake is catered specifically for you. Kayaking and boating in Bera Lake is something you should not miss because visitors get to enjoy the scenic beauty of natural wilderness.
