Seremban facts and culture

Seremban, the capital of Negeri Sembilan started development back in 1870s when locals discovered tin ore within the vicinity. Following the discovery of tin in some areas, a number of Arab, Chinese and Malay immigrants flocked to the city to work on the mines. Formerly known as Sungai Ujong, the centre flourished as a major mining area in the state. Hence, Linggi River was later transformed as an outlet to import tin and products to other parts of country.
