Basically, Redang island is a popular holiday destination off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia. it is one of the nine islands that make up a marine park and can be reached via Merang or Kuala Terengganu. There is a also a small airport that ferries passengers to and from the island through Berjaya Air.

Redang is a conservation site for sea turtles while also being a great diving resort that still keeps historic shipwrecks HMS Repulse and HMS Prince of Wales, which sunk during the Second World War. This makes Pulau Redang one of the most popular dive sites that welcome divers from both the local and foreign fronts.
